IMPORTANT

The colours on this chart should only be used as a guide and should not replace the advice of a health professional. Speak to your doctor if you are worried about the colour of your urine, the amount of water you drink or dehydration.

WHAT CAN CHANGE THE COLOUR OF MY URINE?

Certain foods, such as beetroot and rhubarb as well as medications and vitamin supplements may change your urine colour even if you are hydrated.

HOW DOES THE WORKPLACE HYDRATION CHART WORK?

When your body loses more water than it takes in, it retains the water it does have. With less water to dilute them, the naturally occurring minerals and chemicals in your pee become more concentrated and deeper in colour so you can measure your hydration by checking the colour of your pee.
