PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Every person is different. Every situation is different. That’s why our programme is bespoke to the individual.

Our trained counsellors begin the seven-stage programme with an assessment of the individual. They then develop a unique programme normally delivered over seven weeks depending on the needs of the individual. If the need requires it, the counsellor may include an additional expert in a session such as a nutritionist, personal trainer, or time management consultant.

Each 60-minute, one-to-one session is delivered virtually using the client’s preferred communication method, Teams, Zoom, FaceTime, telephone etc.

In-person options are available from our facilities in the North East of England.

A typical employee stress management programme may consist of:

Getting to know the employee. Establishing trust. Introductions. Understand the nature of the employee’s stress, what they are feeling, experiencing, or struggling with. Establish aims and goals etc. Discuss the next steps.

Gain insights into the nature of stress, its effects on the body and mind, and the importance of addressing it proactively. Understand the distinction between positive and negative stress and learn how to channel stress energy positively.

Explore mindfulness practices and relaxation techniques to help the employee stay present, reduce anxiety, and improve focus. Learn how incorporating mindfulness into their daily routine can enhance their overall mental health.

Master the art of effective time management to reduce work-related stress. Discover practical tips and tools for prioritising tasks, setting realistic goals, and achieving a better balance between professional and personal responsibilities.

Improve their people skills and learn effective communication strategies to navigate workplace challenges. Addressing conflicts proactively can significantly reduce stress levels and contribute to a more harmonious work environment.

Explore the connection between physical health and stress management. Receive guidance from an expert on incorporating regular exercise, proper nutrition, and adequate sleep into their routine to promote overall wellbeing.

Help the employee strike a healthy balance between work and personal life. Identify practical steps to create boundaries, set priorities, and maintain a fulfilling life both inside and outside of the workplace.

All sessions of the stress management programme are delivered by expert mental health counsellors registered with The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
