DISPLAY SCREEN EQUIPMENT (DSE) ASSESSMENTS
At Corporate Personal Wellbeing Company, we are dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace.
One key aspect of this commitment is ensuring that your employees are working in an ergonomically optimised environment, especially when it comes to display screen equipment (DSE).
Our comprehensive DSE assessments are designed to enhance comfort, prevent injury, and boost productivity.
They are highly effective because they are focused on the individual needs of the employee, not a checklist.
HSE UPDATE
The Health and Safety Executive advised that if an employee works from home, even for a small regular number of hours, then conducting an effective DSE assessment at home is a legal requirement.

OUR APPROACH TO DSE ASSESSMENTS
Our DSE assessments are designed to evaluate the setup and usage of computer workstations, ensuring they meet ergonomic standards and guidelines. By identifying potential risks and providing practical recommendations, we help create a safer and more comfortable working environment for your employees.
Unlike old-fashioned DSE assessments, ours are human-centric, focusing on the individual as well as the physical environment, such as screen height etc.
HOW THEY WORK
1. Initial Consultation: Discuss your organisation’s needs and goals with our expert team to determine the scope of the assessment(s). Please contact us or complete the enquiry form below.
2. On-Site or Remote Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of workstations, either on-site or remotely, depending on your setup.
Our remote DSE assessments are carried out using Zoom, Skype, Teams and even FaceTime.
They are live and bespoke. While we can get some good tips from watching videos, they are no substitute for one-to-one interaction. Every employee is different, with different circumstances and needs. This is even more so, while working from home.
Our expert assessors help your employees set up their workstation at home or in the office, ensuring everything is in its place and set to prevent injury and increase productivity.
Our DSE assessments last from between 30 and 60 minutes. For pregnant employees, those with pre-existing medical conditions or for those returning from long-term sickness, we recommend the 60-minute assessment.
3. Detailed Reporting: Receive comprehensive reports outlining findings, personal recommendations, and actionable steps to improve workstation ergonomics.
4. Follow-Up Support: Benefit from ongoing support and guidance to implement changes and monitor their effectiveness.
FACE TO FACE DSE ASSESSMENTS
We also offer face-to-face display screen equipment (DSE) assessments. These take 60 minutes and may include hands-on therapy.
BENEFITS OF DSE ASSESSMENTS
- Enhanced Comfort: Improve the physical comfort of employees, reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
- Increased Productivity: A well-designed workstation can boost efficiency and productivity by minimizing discomfort and fatigue.
- Reduced Absenteeism: Addressing ergonomic issues can lead to fewer work-related injuries and illnesses, resulting in lower absenteeism.
- Employee Satisfaction: Demonstrating a commitment to employee wellbeing can enhance job satisfaction and morale.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure your organization meets health and safety regulations related to DSE usage.
Your organisation will be compliant with The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992. The regulations require the employer to:
- Provide training on how to use DSE tools.
- Assess the risks associated with tasks.
- Show due diligence in minimising risks identified.
