MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING
There are two fundamental aspects of wellbeing, mental and physical.
The two are indivisible. The most effective corporate or individual wellbeing strategies incorporate both.
At Corporate Personal Wellbeing we offer a wide range of bespoke mental health services:
- One-to-one mental health therapy sessions use informed cognitive behavioural therapy techniques that directly address common mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, and depression.
- One-to-one mental health coaching for individuals is an effective introduction to mental wellbeing and good mental health. It is primarily used as a preventative measure to keep clients on the right path.
- Mental health training for organisations including seminars, webinars, and workshops. Topics include mental health for managers, resilience, and mental health awareness, to name but a few.
- Formal NVQ qualifications in mental health awareness and mental health first-aid.
- The mental health therapy and mental health coaching sessions are also delivered as part of our Proactive Employee Assistance Programme.

ONE-TO-ONE MENTAL HEALTH therapy
This service aims to provide individuals with understanding and insight into common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, stress and worry. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed techniques to give guided self-help on how to manage these types of problems and promote wellbeing for the individual.
What you can expect: You will be given a 30-minute consultation to speak to our mental health practitioner where you can identify your current concerns that you would like support with. From the consultation, you will be able to devise with your mental health practitioner what topics would be best to focus on and how many sessions this will be given over.
The sessions will aim to give you further understanding of common mental health problems and working collaboratively with the mental health practitioner to help you learn how to manage these and feel confident in this.
Why use our mental health therapy service?
Local authority services currently providing psychological therapies for mental health support in the community have long waiting lists for patients to be seen. Often individuals have to display poor mental health symptoms to even be seen by these services.
For the support we will offer at Corporate Personal Wellbeing, it doesn’t require individuals to have a mental health diagnosis or identified problem, it can be used by individuals who want to have a clearer understanding of the common problems that we can all struggle with and how to manage and understand these better.
The service provides a general understanding and advice to promote and improve individual wellbeing. Often, we fall into bad habits and struggle to understand the best ways to manage common emotions such as anxiety and depression which can harm our wellbeing. Sessions will aim to address these issues by giving an understanding and insight into this negative cycle and coaching on how to create positive steps to improve wellbeing.
ONE-TO-ONE MENTAL HEALTH COACHING
However, there are certain times when one-to-one mental health coaching is more appropriate.
Private and more focused, one-to-one mental health training can be extremely effective for the individual. It gives the client and professional more time and freedom to explore specific issues that may be relevant to their individual circumstances.
Mental health training and coaching for individuals is an effective first step on the road to mental wellbeing and good mental health. It is primarily used as a preventative measure to keep clients on the right path. The right intervention at the right time is the right thing to do. It can prevent a downward spiral – nipping poor mental health in the bud.
One-to-one mental health and wellbeing coaching training is also a more cost-efficient method for companies, helping prevent costly absences and expensive intense treatments.
